En qué consisten las diferentes etapas de producción, mezcla y mastering?

Bajo mi forma de trabajo la etapa de producción comienza con solicitar la maqueta de la canción o canciones (si puede ser separadas por stems o tracks mucho mejor), hablar de hasta donde queremos llegar con esta producción, primeras impresiones y realización de bocetos. Luego cuando este todo mas menos claro de forma individual trabajo en encontrar algo que suene cercano a una canción bastante cerrada. Os la envío y trabajamos en común las ideas hasta llegar al punto en el que la canción este preparada para pasar al siguiente proceso, producir el sonido que queremos.

El siguiente punto es grabarlo, y ahí ya nos encontramos con multitud de opciones. Buscaremos la que encaje dependiendo del proyecto y sobre todo que se adapte mejor a las necesidades del cliente.

El paso siguiente es llevarme toda la grabación y comenzar el proceso de mezcla, normalmente realizo el mastering de mis mezclas, pero si estas interesados en hacerlo en otro lugar no hay ningún problema.

Lo importante es el resultado final, que tu proyecto termine con la mayor calidad y totalmente preparado para distribución tato física como digital.

Tengo una canción casi terminada pero siento que me faltan arreglos y producción para pasar al siguiente nivel, que puedes hacer?

En este caso nos dispondremos a visualizar hasta donde queremos llegar, buscando la instrumentación, las texturas y colores para llegar al lugar deseado. Podemos incorporar cualquier cosa que nos imaginemos para dejar la canción preparada para el siguiente proceso.

Queremos mezcla y/o mastering de una o varias canciones, no necesitamos tareas de producción, es posible?

Por supuesto, muchas veces las canciones están muy bien cerradas o simplemente no queréis contratar servicios de productor y/o arreglista. En este caso nos pondremos directos a trabajar en el sonido de esas canciones que tanto os gustan.

Soy cantautor (o cantante solista) me gustaría que me compusieras una canción.

No hay ningún problema, podemos hacer toda la musica partiendo de algo que tengas compuesto o simplemente hacer una desde cero, sería muy extenso explicarlo por aquí ya que pueden presentarse muchísimas variables, cuéntame mas sobre tu proyecto y estaré encantado de resolver tus dudas, no existe ningún problema que nos impida llegar a hacer eso que tienes en mente seguro.

De que manera debemos enviar las pistas para mezcla y mastering, que formatos y especificaciones necesitas?

Todas las pistas de grabación deben estar en 24 bits y frecuencia de muestreo mínimo en 44,1 kHz o múltiplos.

Los instrumentos MIDI necesitare tanto el audio original como las notas midi, si la batería es MIDI lo mismo.

Guitarras y bajo independientemente si se han grabado con amplificador real necesitaré la DI, para poder reamplificar en el caso necesario tanto de forma analógica como digital.

Voces principales a ser posible dobladas, y separadas de las que son armonías.

Y por último muy Importante dejar las pistas correctamente nombradas con toda la información importante.

What do the different stages of production, mixing, and mastering consist of?

Under my working method, the production stage begins by requesting the demo of the song or songs (ideally separated by stems or tracks). We discuss the goals for the production, initial impressions, and create sketches. Once everything is relatively clear individually, I work to find something that sounds close to a fully developed song. I send it to you, and we collaborate on refining ideas until the point where the song is ready to move to the next stage: producing the desired sound.

The next step is recording, and here we encounter numerous options. We will choose the one that fits depending on the project, especially one that best suits the client's needs.

Following that, I take all the recordings and begin the mixing process. I typically handle the mastering of my mixes, but if you're interested in doing it elsewhere, there's no problem. The crucial aspect is the final result, ensuring your project concludes with the highest quality and fully prepared for both physical and digital distribution.

TI have a song that's almost finished, but I feel it needs additional arrangements and production to take it to the next level. What can you do?

In this case, we will proceed to visualize how far we want to go, searching for the instrumentation, textures, and colors to reach the desired destination. We can incorporate anything we imagine to prepare the song for the next stage.

We want mixing and/or mastering for one or several songs; we don't need production tasks. Is that possible?

Of course, often songs are well-structured, or you simply don't want to hire producer and/or arranger services. In this case, we'll jump straight into working on the sound of those songs you love so much.

I am a singer-songwriter (or solo artist), and I would like you to compose a song for me.

No problem at all. We can create the entire music either based on something you already have composed or start from scratch. It would be quite extensive to explain everything here as many variables could come into play. Tell me more about your project, and I'll be happy to address your questions. There's no issue that would prevent us from bringing to life what you have in mind, for sure.

How should we send the tracks for mixing and mastering, what formats and specifications do you need?

All recording tracks must be in 24 bits with a minimum sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz or multiples thereof.

For MIDI instruments, I will need both the original audio and the MIDI notes. The same applies if the drums are MIDI.

For guitars and bass, regardless of whether they were recorded with a real amplifier, I will need the DI (Direct Input) to allow reamping, both in analog and digital forms if necessary.

For lead vocals, if possible, provide doubled tracks, and separate those from the harmony vocals.

Lastly, it's crucial to have the tracks properly named with all the relevant information.
